My Social Media footprint

This is a google drawing of mine that I just created in Health. We had to create our own footprints and add in the current apps/sites we've been on in the last 48hours. As you can see that on the bottom of the footprint is a large photo of google drive and apps around it that relates. The reason why we are learning about SM is because we have been using SM alot, leaving behind bad/good footprints. I learnt today that everything that we do using wifi is not private as we think it is. What I'm going to do from now on is to always leave a smart footprint, because I'll never know when someone's watching me.

Te Reo

Today my group R.A.T.A decided that we will be working on Te Reo government problems. We read about a current issue that Maori people are afraid to speak Te Reo publicly and that the government is doing less to keep Maori language alive. As a group we discussed that some solutions this is that the government should make it strict that young Maori children should learn Te Reo wherever they go on Monday and Friday afternoons.

My Vision/Dream/Board

In Careers class, our teacher Miss Bailey created each of us a site. Part of this site we had to
make a vision board to add to our site. So this is my vision board that I created showing all
about me.

Toku Pepeha

Last week in Maori, we had to create a presentation about ourselves which
is called in Maori "Toku Pepeha". I didn't know we were only supposed to
put pictures in but I was on to it and put information about each slide. So the
top presentation would be the one with only the pictures. But the presentation
below would be the one I put information in each slide. So check our these
slides and find out more about me.

H20 = WATER!

In the last few weeks, our science class has been learning about water. What I
found out about water is that it can contain anything. In this presentation is
a whole lot of information I learnt about water. Some of them are just my
knowledge.

What is Hauora?A hauora are 4 walls together to build your health. The 4 wall names are Physical, Mental/Emotional, Spiritual, and Social.

Physical: What I like to do for physical would be keeping myself active. Like playing sports such as rugby, netball, touch, and volleyball. Sometimes I like to go for a run with my older brothers because my sisters doesn’t bother. I also balance my food like eating healthy food and island food at the same time.

Mental/Emotional: Everyday 24/7, I enjoy being happy with my friends and my family. But then when something unusual happens I’m not myself but my peers are always around to help me be myself. Like funerals, when someone has passed we gather around those who are uncomfortable. We all laugh together and we also cry together.

Spiritual: As an islander, my parents push us children to go church every Sunday. From my generations, we believe that Jesus is our god and savior. We are known as Christians. So this means that church is not an option in our lives. We go church to receive the blessing and the strength that our god gives us.

Social: My family and friends are the best things that has happened in my life. They are always there for me and I really appreciate it. When there are sad times, we all feel the same way. Family and friends would be my top priority in my life.

My Autobiography 2017

In english we had to write about our autobiography. So this is a presentation
that I created about my autobiography.

Caring for the planet

Have you ever wondered how people treat our planet?   Well every second someone has accidentally or purposely dropped a piece of rubbish. This is one of the reasons why our planet has become dirty and unhealthy for us to live.

In this world, every person has littered or do something that kills the planet. Hours or days later, they would take a look at their environment and think it’s filthy. Well if they haven’t littered or wasted food, their environment would have looked better. Next they would want to clean their environment. Well let’s take a look at steps that would help save our planet.

First of all, let's take a look at our rubbish. When people don’t know where to take their rubbish they sometimes secretly throw into the ocean. Where the creeks, and ocean will be polluted. This is where the fishes eats the rubbish and gets poisoned and dies. This means there are no fishes to eat and could get their species extinct.

Where’s bins and backyards are useful.  Some people take their fruit peels, and uneaten food to a place in their backyard where they’ve designed a compost. A compost will help keep the plants and grass grow clean and healthy. Or some people just throws their rubbish in a bin and wait for rubbish truck to unload the bin. Instead of leaving it to stink the day (especially plastics).

Air conditioners. Air conditioners is useful to keep you cool, but you don’t really know what’s happening. Once the fresh air has been used, the air get trapped in a busy place and mixes with bad conditions. Which will be unclean and creates a bad smell. So it’s best to keep windows and doors open for the oxygen to disappear and repair it’s smell.  When this doesn’t happen the bad smell will then be released out and maybe kill the environment.

After taking and cleaning all the filth today then tomorrow will be a fresh new day of healthiness. Doing these 2 things every week or everyday will keep your life clean and happy. It will also keep you healthy and clean inside your body. But not only for your good but also for the planet, living creatures, and people around you.

If you spread these 2 easy steps than the things that happened to you will happen to everyone. This would help everyone keep happy and can also save our planet. So do these 2 easy steps to save our planet earth.

This is a presentation all about YouTube. It was for our Music subject where
we have to choose an app out of 5 examples. I chose You Tube because I

My Identity Social Studies 2017

My Identity
In Social Studies, each students were asked to draw an identity about ourselves on a clean A4 paper. Once this is finished we were to write each paragraph about each parts. Well this is my Identity about myself.

Samoan flag
On the top left side is a picture of a Samoan flag. I was born in Samoa and my family mygrated to New Zealand when I was a year and 10 months. I hail from the villages of Lauli’i and Siutu. I love to learn about the Samoan legends and myths from the past generations. I love to learn and show the Samoan values that have been passed down from generations to generations, to show how loving and respectful Samoa is. This is why I am proud to be Samoan.

Maths Symbols

On the right handed side is a drawn picture of mathematics symbols. Math is one of my favourite subjects in school. I noticed that in some equations, math is not only about numbers. It’s also about teamwork. Working together towards success. I really like to work on some maths equations with my friends like number knowledge, decimals, and fractions. My favourite strategies I like to use is algorithm and number lines. I am grateful for my previous maths teachers that helped me get to the maths level I’m working on now. Thank you for making maths fun in my life!

Christian Cross
Under the Samoan flag is a picture of a cross. My family grew up as Christians, my parents introduced Jesus as our one and only Saviour in our personal lives. Every Sundays, church is not an option to our lives. Our parents push us to attend church so we have the blessing and the strength from our god to do what we love everyday. Also to praise our lord for the wonderful things he has done in our lives. My favourite verse in the bible is stated in “Philippians 4:13, I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me”. So therefore whatever I go through, I know that I’m not alone.

Basketball hoop(Sport)
Next to the cross is a picture of a basketball hoop. That basketball hoop represents sports. Sports is everything to myself. I started playing sports at Point England School at the age of 7. I played every sport that contained field and court(except tennis). But the 2 sports I really enjoy playing on the field is rugby and touch. Why I love to play these field sports is because they are both competitive, skillful, and leads to making heaps of friends. 2 sports on the court would be volleyball and netball. Volleyball is a fun summer sport that I always play with my friends and family. Netball, I’ve been playing netball for 5 years now and it has made a huge difference in my life. This includes myself balancing my food no matter how tasty it is. But it’s because I don’t get tired on the court. But netball is really enjoyable. I am now looking forward to playing sport for Tamaki College.

Music
On the bottom left of the shield is a picture of a music note with a piano drawn behind. This represents how much I love music. Everyday I like to listen to music on my digital device. There are different types of music that makes me want to dance, sing, or sometimes make me feel like sleeping. But the song I would choose as my favourite song would be Kes Wine up. Not only I like to listen to music but I also like to play instruments like piano/keyboards and guitar. This year I would like to learn how to play drums and ukulele. But music is also a big part of my life. I love music.

Art
The last part of my shield would be art on the bottom right corner. When I was young, I would always watch my 2 older brothers drawing Samoan patterns and other art projects. Then I would practice drawing what they drew. When I was a year 6, my family thought that I was an artist. I was pretty good at drawing artworks. Then throughout when I was year 8, my friends noticed that I was pretty good at drawing patterns and other arts. They would always want me to draw their piece of artworks. At the beginning of this year, my parents told me to take art in college. As this would lead me to another good path for my future. Now I will be taking art in college because I’ll never know what will happen.
Well there you go. 6 parts of my identity that I’ve explained individually of who I am and what I love to do. My name is Taunese Salataima Leitufia and this is my Identity.
